These changes consist in almost changing all the hardware of the guitar including electronics and sometimes the pickups too. This is not the case in this guitar that has the original Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups.
The main modification is to invert the magnetic polarity of the neck pickup to allow this sound so characteristic when both pickups are engaged in the middle position. Note that to make this inversion polarity it is necessary to dismantle the pickup to rotate the magnet and not just rotate the pickup itself degrees as is often believed.
In fact, if you only rotate the microphone will not change at all the sound in the intermediate position. I checked this point with Larry Corsa by mail when I got the guitar since his former owner had put the neck pickup in the standard position rather than in the "Peter GReen" position as you can see in the the photos made by Larry.
Here's a rare couple of pictures of an X-rayed Les Paul where you can see that most of the Mahogany body of the instrument has been chambered. Probably the hardcore fans of the Les Paul will cringe at seeing the X-ray photos of this Faded Les Paul that highlights that a large part of the body is hollowed out.

I also own 2 of them and it is true. He started out by modding those guitars by doing the magnet flip out of phase thing and also by upgrading the hardware to Faber parts. Then he started building them in his home. The whole deal is inspired by his love and knowledge of Peter Green's music. It is a combination of that, the faded series, and the upgrades that make his guitars what they are.
He offers many options. That makes the guitars so resonant. That's why the faded series is so toneful. His guitars are actually one level above the fadeds for about the same price.

Stumbled into their site by accident and took a chance on a guitar that really caught my eye. The 50s neck shape is extremely comfy and non fatiguing. Frets are great - there were some minor file marks on the upper area of the board which Larry offered to address immediately, but I was having too much fun with the guitar to ship it back Larry was great to deal with.
